About Us

What makes Walking With Honor unique is our commitment to using shelter dogs whenever possible. Many of these dogs have the heart, resilience, and potential to thrive in service work. With structured training, compassion, and evidence-based methods, we help them transform into dependable partners for veterans coping with PTSD, mobility challenges, anxiety, and other service-related needs.

We believe in:

Honoring both the dog’s welfare and the veteran’s journey

Our Story
Walking With Honor began with one service dog named Honor. During a difficult and isolating period after military service, Honor became more than a working dog — she became a lifeline. That partnership revealed the power of ethical service-dog work to change and save lives. Walking With Honor exists to ensure veterans are not alone and shelter dogs are given purpose, training, and respect.
